Fidelity: Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) vs. His Leadership
Kevin McCarthy said something to all of us at one point or another; that he didn't really mean and never intended to live up to. I don't think voting against, Kevin McCarthy, is chaos, I think 33 trillion in debt is chaos I think that facing a 2.2 trillion dollar annual deficit is chaos. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL 1st)
Andy Biggs (R-AZ)

Debate on the house floor, on vacating the Speaker's Chair.

Truth or Consequences

Kevin McCarthy is no longer the House Speaker because He failed to lead; not because he failed to meet certain expectations from members of his own party or from the various advocacy groups He's beholding to.

The failed Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, contrary to his many promises, was devoted to a broken institution and continued that broken institution in keeping with the expectations of those who shared his commitment to Washington's business as usual.

In contrast, Matt Gaetz was courageous enough to challenge the status quo and expect more from our House Leadership. We applaud Rep. Gaetz for having the bravery to stand against the powerful and corrupt, to champion more than just his own personal enrichment.

The truth of the matter is, that in 2022 our Federal Budget was $6.2 trillion dollars. Tax revenue from that same year was $4.9 trillion dollars. That's a $1.7 trillion dollar deficit. We can't sustain this amount of spending. The Federal deficit is now $31 trillion dollars!

What do "We the People" have for our money?

- Broken border.

- A war in Ukraine we are funding.

- A broken federal, state and local election process.

- Crime on an upward spiral that is quickly turning our country into a 3rd World Nation.

- A President who is corrupt and incompetent.

- Out of control Department of Justice, partisan and bias.

Speaker McCarthy promised to show leadership in these major areas, and so far, he has shown none.

"There's nothing selfish about wanting a speaker of the house who tells the truth." Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL 1st)
